In a post to the department's Facebook page on Wednesday, the Shakopee Police Department said it received a tip that a missing teenager was seen in the Shakopee area.
Jeremy Jourdain was last seen in Bemidji on Halloween of last year wearing jeans and a blue and gray sweatshirt.
Shakopee Sgt. Derek Nordtvedt said the department received information about the sighting from a Bemidji investigator working on the case who asked the department to post it on its Facebook page.
The Shakopee police Facebook post said Jourdain was "seen in the 'projects' from someone claiming to be from Shakopee," because that's what the Bemidji detective said.
The Bemidji Police Department has partnered with tribal, state and federal law enforcement agencies for ground, aerial and boat/water searches in an effort to find Jourdain, according to the Woodbury Bulletin.
Jourdain is 18 years old now and Native American, about 6-foot-4 and 185 pounds. If anyone has information on where Jourdain is, call the Bemidji Police Department at 218-333-9111 or the Shakopee Police Department at 952-445-1411.
