ABOUT

BIO
I first became interested in journalism and communications in high school, having originally been recruited to draw the editorial cartoons for my high school newspaper. I knew immediately I was more interested in writing than drawing (I didn't have a knack for editorial cartoons, either). I became editor-in-chief of the paper my senior year and was Wyoming Journalist of the Year in 2013.

I grew up in Iowa and returned to the Midwest for college. I was drawn to the University of Missouri and the world-renowned journalism program there. I graduated in May 2017 with a degree in print and digital journalism, a minor in English and a certificate in multicultural studies.

I currently live in Minnesota with my husband, daughter, and a boisterous German Shepherd. I work full-time for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
