The long awaited Shakopee Hy-Vee grocery store will open on Nov.7, Hy-Vee spokeswoman Amy McCoy said.
The planned unit development and conditional use permits were approved for the Shakopee Hy-Vee location in August 2016, but the project has been planned for much longer than that.
The building at 1451 Adams St. S. is 95,000 square feet and will feature a liquor store, Starbucks and gas station, as well as a medical office building, restaurants and 100-unit apartment complex nearby.
St. Francis Regional Medical Center will also have an express care clinic in the store that will open at the same time as the store.
The Starbucks and gas station are already open.
Hy-Vee is still hiring for part- and full-time positions at the store. The company is hosting hiring events on Wednesday and Thursday from 12 to 7 p.m. and 1 to 7 p.m., respectively, at 1099 Adam St. in Shakopee.
The company, which is based out of Iowa, employs more than 82,000 people across Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Minnesota. Hy-Vee ranks among the top 25 supermarket chains in the United States.
The company also has stores in Lakeville, Brooklyn Park and Savage.
