About 10 dogs found foster homes on Thursday and Friday, sparing them from being euthanized on Friday morning.

Protecting Paws Animal Rescue based out of Prior Lake had posted about the dogs on its Facebook page Thursday.

The dogs, which were housed in a humane society in Minnesota, are Labrador, Collie and Golden Retriever mixes. The dogs came from a cruel background and required a patient foster as they've had little to no contact with humans, Protecting Paws Animal Rescue Founder and Director Keri Bedeaux said.

Animal organizations across the state were trying to find homes for the dogs.

Protecting Paws Animal Rescue provided all supplies necessary to fostering family who put in applications with the organization. Homes will foster animals until the dogs are adopted by permanent families.

The dogs were slated to be euthanized Friday morning. Home visits were done yesterday and Friday morning to place the dogs.

"We'll do whatever we can to save these dogs," Bedeaux said on Thursday afternoon.
