'Thunder from Down Under' to join Ruff Start Rescue for fundraising opportunity

Mixing abs and puppies is the perfect storm for a fundraising opportunity and that’s what Ruff Start Rescue did.

The organization will host an event from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Wilds Golf Club, 3151 Wilds Ridge Court, Prior Lake that will feature a male revue group from Australia, Thunder From Down Under. The event is called “A Thunderous Affair.”

The $40 ticket includes three gourmet desserts, a glass of wine and a professional photo taken with the group. Thunder From Down Under will be at the event from 2-3:30 p.m.

There will also be dogs available for adoption at the event. The dogs come from “difficult circumstances, including the recent hurricanes in Houston,” according to a news release.

Tickets are on sale until Oct. 30. Tickets can be purchased at www.rsrthunderousaffair.eventbrite.com.

Thunder From Down Under perform nightly in Las Vegas and tour across the United States and internationally, “showing off chiseled bodies, seductive dance routines, cheeky humor and boy-next-door-charm,” according to the group’s website.

Event proceeds will go toward Ruff Start Rescue, a no-kill dog and cat rescue home.

No outside dogs are allowed at this event. Thunder From Down Under will perform at Mystic Lake Hotel Casino later on Nov. 4.
