Prior Lake-Savage Area School Board approves superintendent contract

The Prior Lake-Savage Area School Board approved a three-year contract for Superintendent Teri Staloch during the regular meeting on Monday.
The board unanimously approved the contract.
"I am thrilled and excited to have Dr. Staloch for another three years," Board Chair Richard Wolf said. "She's energized the staff, students, parents and community."
The contract sets Staloch's base salary at $201,630 for the 2018-19 year, $205,663 for 2019-20 and $209,776 for 2020-21.
She also receives 25 days of vacation, 12 paid holidays, 15 sick days and a vehicle allowance of up to $600 per month.
In other action at the Nov. 13 meeting, the board:
Recognized voters who approved the referendum on Nov. 7.
"I'm most proud of the learning everyone had to do in order to share information, ask questions and understand the proposal that was in front of them," Staloch said.
Recognized Nov. 13-17 as American Education Week and the third week of November as Youth Appreciation Week.
Postponed approving a school calendar to provide the opportunity for feedback on moving spring break from March to April.
