There are spoilers of this season of ABC’s “The Bachelor” in this article. Don’t say you weren’t warned.

Prior Lake native Becca Kufrin already has Arie Luyendyk Jr. on one knee.

Literally.

During the season premiere of ABC’s “The Bachelor” on Monday night, Kufrin, 27, used her limo gimmick (what girls do to try and stand out on the first night once they exit a limo, meeting the bachelor for the first time) to have Luyendyk ask her if she was “ready to do the damn thing?”

Kufrin, a 2008 Prior Lake High School graduate, responded emphatically that she was.

“This is moving very fast, I think we should probably get rid of those other girls though,” Kufrin said.

As far as limo gimmicks go, it definitely wasn’t the worst. One girl had Luyendyk smell her armpits.

Kufrin, now a publicist in Minneapolis, managed to steal a bit of screen time that can be limited with 29 girls contending to win the heart of the bachelor. During her few minutes of conversation with Luyendyk later on in the episode (after everyone makes their entrances and there is a necessary amount of drama) she reads him questions that her mom actually wrote ahead of time and Kufrin brought with her.

“Family means a ton to me,” Kufrin said.

Though Kufrin didn’t receive the first impression rose — that honor went to a girl named Chelsea — she received the first rose at the ceremony later that night.

It could be the first of a season of successes for Kufrin. “Bachelor” blogger Reality Steve said Kufrin walks out of the season with a ring and real proposal from Luyendyk, a professional race car driver and a current real estate agent.

He is less confident about a wedding taking place, but that’s his prerogative.

Though Reality Steve did incorrectly predict the winner of the last season, he is sure Kufrin is engaged at the end of it all and that she, at the very least, made it to the hometown episode, where contestants bring the bachelor home to meet their families.

And even though her title on the show says Minneapolis, we know Kufrin’s hometown to be Prior Lake. Kufrin can also be seen in the season preview, riding with Luyendyk in a car and she doesn’t appear in the montage of crying girls, which bodes well.

If the rumors are true, then we’re bound to see a lot more of Kufrin as the season progresses.
