Prior Lake community band to hold summer concert series

The Prior Lake community band, the WindJammers, will be holding a series of concerts across the southwest area this summer.

The group added a few new destinations to the agenda this year, according to a news release.

The first concert will be in Shakopee on July 27 at 7 p.m. in Huber Park.

The second will be in Prior Lake on Aug. 2 at 7 p.m. in Horkey Park. To get to this concert, park in the main parking lot of the Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church, go downstairs and walk towards the right and the band will be outside in a patio area. There will be free ice cream.

The band will also be in Hopkins on Aug. 3 at 7 p.m. in Hopkins Downtown Park.

Then the WindJammers will head to Edina on Aug. 6 at 7 p.m. in Centennial Lakes Park for the final concert of the summer season.
