Artist unveils mural at Prior Lake Library

The Prior Lake Library will have a new piece of art soon.

Artist Greg Preslicka spoke to a group of children and parents on Thursday morning at the Prior Lake Library about his new mural on one of the walls. He'll do another presentation on Saturday at 11 a.m.

The mural inspires children to use their imagination through reading, featuring a dinosaur, a spaceship, a castle, a train and more with "read" sprinkled throughout the painting.

Preslicka said he uses photoshop to plan the mural beforehand so he's usually able to paint pretty quickly. For the library mural, he started on Monday and plans to finish Saturday.

Preslicka has done around 70 murals across Minnesota. He'll be back at the library on June 5 to host the pajama time story time.
